International Baccalaureate Assessment Visit for PYP and MYP Programs
In February, our school successfully passed the next assessment visit of the International Baccalaureate for the PYP and MYP programs, which are held every five years and are mandatory for all international schools. Below we share with you the report of the verification team:
“The International College of Continuous Education has a longstanding commitment from its 2-decade history of delivering the mission of the IB to this day. This commitment reverberates to the present through its continued community engagements and advancing its efforts to better its pedagogical practices through curriculum alignment initiatives of the Kazakhstani state standards and the IB curriculum frameworks. The parent community pays high respects to the school's leadership and teaching staff as it continues to deliver quality international education for their children and continuously nurturing internationally-minded learners as they prepare for their future education both locally and internationally-- True to its mission of developing lifelong learners through education. The school is acknowledged for its dedication in partnering with parents and the immediate learning community to further its efforts in delivering an international education that caters both the PYP & MYP IB programmes including the state standards of Kazakhstan in a trilingual mechanism-- Kazakh, Russian and English. Through the PDP ( Programme Development Plan) process and impact sessions, the school has suggested areas for programme development during the next review cycle focusing on developing and implementing inclusive and values-based school cultures by promoting student and community well-being. The school is encouraged to continuously work collaboratively to align both PYP and MYP curriculum frameworks along with the Kazakhstani state standards to share best practices within its immediate community and continuing to deliver the IB mission.”
