Our college has a tradition of holding a chess tournament for students in grades 1-5 in honor of the Nauryz holiday. This academic year, the tournament will be held from April 1st to 23rd. All students in grades 1-7 are welcome to participate, even those who haven't participated in a chess club. The tournament will be held in two stages. The winners of the first stage will receive certificates from the International Chess Association and the Belaya Ladya Chess Club. In the finals, the winners will receive certificates and medals, and the tournament winner will receive a trophy.

Students who meet the standard (girls: 55%, boys: 60%) are awarded the 4th sports category. The chess club is led by experienced teacher and coach Gennady Vladimirovich Korovin. We invite everyone to participate in the tournament!

Chess is not just a leisure activity, but a powerful tool for intellectual and personal development. This game is often called "brain training." Chess promotes:

  1. Development of logic, critical, and strategic thinking
  2. Improved memory and concentration
  3. Development of psychological resilience and self-discipline
  4. Improved academic performance

Interesting fact: Chess engages both hemispheres of the brain simultaneously: the left hemisphere is responsible for logic and calculation, and the right hemisphere is responsible for intuition and visual representation of a position.
