This year, our college continued to implement interdisciplinary projects as part of the IB MYP program. Throughout the year, students worked on projects that combined knowledge from various subject areas, explored relevant topics, and presented their findings through presentations, research, and creative works.
Each project is built around a significant global theme and involves practical activities: research, experiments, modeling, presentations, creative works, and public defense of the results. Students in grades 5-10 actively participated in projects that integrated knowledge from various subject areas and explored relevant contemporary topics. Interesting projects that focused on successful learning skills included "Man in the Mirror of Art" (Grade 6), "Biology of the Senses and the Physics of Electricity: Modeling Nerve Impulse Transmission" (Grade 8), and "From the History of Revolution: Change the World" (Grade 10).
Particular attention is paid to developing students' international perspective, responsibility, and understanding of global issues in the modern world. Interdisciplinary projects help students develop the qualities necessary for successful living in a rapidly changing society: flexibility, initiative, collaboration, and decision-making.
