In 1998, the Stolichny International College of Continuous Education was established in Astana, and a license was obtained for the right to conduct educational activities.
In 1999, a student government was created, and the first president of the college was elected. The student council, headed by the president, represents the interests of all students before the school administration, teachers, and parents.
The process of introducing the International Baccalaureate system into the practice of the ICCE in Almaty and Astana began in 2001. By 2003, the school had received approval to implement the IBYP program, and in 2005, the IBPYP. Since 2018, the ICCE has been a full member of the Association of International Baccalaureate Schools of the Commonwealth of Independent States. To date, the college has completed four evaluation visits for IB programs. During this period, 250 students have completed a personal project, receiving positive assessments from the international moderation committee.
The International College of Continuing Education is celebrating its 30th anniversary. Today, the college is not just a place for gaining knowledge. It is also a space for socialization, personality development, and the acquisition of skills necessary in the modern world, and it continues to adapt to the challenges of the time by introducing new technologies and approaches to prepare students for life in a global society.
