Personal Project in the IB Program
The project is a final piece of work that demonstrates the student's knowledge, skills, and personal interests gained during their years of study in the MYP.

A Personal Project is an individual research assignment undertaken by Year 10 students as part of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP).
A Personal Project helps to:
- Develop skills in independent research and working on long-term problems.
- Demonstrate personal interests and creativity.
- Develop key IB skills: critical thinking, communication, self-organization, and reflection.
- Prepare students for further education and career choices.
Why is a personal project important?
A personal project is the result of interesting, creative, and painstaking work by students. It enables them to showcase their communication skills, intercultural understanding, and global engagement. A personal project is a culminating event that allows everyone to demonstrate their individuality, capabilities, and interests. The defense of an individual project is a solemn celebration at MYP. Most students complete the assigned tasks, develop their personal qualities, improve their soft skills, and gain new experience and knowledge while working on the project.
